Gloria has gone to a new home...

many of you know gloria, my mannequin.

well, gloria, after some deliberation with me, had asked that she be able to continue her journey through life in the hands of someone new.

i wasnt getting her out of the house enough and her trips in portland sightseeing were having a staggering effect on her wanderlust.

I was trying hard to find her a new home, with someone that would help her live the life she desired. someone that would not alter her from the person she is now. after many years of growth
she had become the epitome of gothic greatness and there was no desire (in her or myself) to have her become painted gold or become smashed with a large hammer in some neo-artist wet dream.

On saturday, gloria was put up in the front yard with a for sale sign and we began searching for a new home.

at the end of saturday, we ran across a woman by the name of Kelli who lives a block away from us. Kelli stated that she fit all the qualifications and that she would even provide a new gothic and
stylish wardrobe for her. in a brief banter exchange the deal was clenched shut.

Kelli offered to do the following:

1) provide the change from her last $10 after she bought cigarettes as a transition fee for taking gloria home.

2) she promised to leave gloria in the state she is in with tasteful improvements upon glorias request.

3) i was given an address and phone number so that i might visit her at anytime and bring by photos of her escapades in portland. these
photos will go with gloria when she continues her journey into the hands of another, thus preserving her history

4) she will take gloria to burning man, other festivals, and on trips, photo documenting the experience and allowing me copies of the photos
for my own curiosity into the well being and care of such a loved friend.

later tonight i will update this post with current photos of gloria so that those who are unfamiliar with her will have the chance to become familiar.

i may commission a painting in her honor.. any one interested, please ask.
