thinkin'

some people wont figure it out.

they wont, because they hate it.

they awake in the morning with their thoughts,
wrapped around them like the sheets around their legs.
off-white linen

the ignorant hatred that blinds them,
blocks their understanding of it.

grey beach sand settles by the foot that carried it.
the foot of the bed scratches the skin surface,
texturized memory.

its smoothness is mottled by the abrasive
and makes them dually pleasant.
