Ndemic Creations, Plague Inc - Review and Gameplay

Image
This is a dark game but enjoyable. What are your thoughts? Is this simply a crowd sourced scenario and statistics tool that someone is capitalizing on via big data? A couple years back, I was introduced to this game on IOS.. it had a freemode and that was the only real requirement for me to download it and give it a shot. It turns out to be one of the longest running games to live on my phone, as well as one of the most disturbing. Plague Inc is a simple premise. To be ‘Victorious’, you must murder all of mankind. In this simulator, there is no evil mastermind.. it is simply a biological element go awry and spreading. Was it sourced in a lab or naturally virulent? Who knows.. it isnt really the point, though there is a definite Enders Game feel to this as you craft the strongest collective elements tigether and scenario the perfect ‘win’ There is some hope (for me at least). I have started playing the game with alternate ‘win’ rules. I destroy humanity to the point of se...

Kill Creek: HEY NETFLIX buy the rights to make this a 10 ep series

Image
Xposted from my Instagram acct RAISE YOUR HAND if you have read Scott Thomas’s Kill Creek?? Finished reading yesterday and been digesting it. It took me nearly a month to read this novel (no fault of the work itself). Sick family and company deadlines got in the way of my reading. By way of this slow throughput, I spent the month dwelling on the topics of ghosts and haunted houses (see all the comics i was posted). For those unfamiliar, Kill Creek centers on a small house in Kansas, cursed from the day it was built when a loving couple was violently murdered for being northerner/freed slave. Since then, strange stories and rumors follow the house, and it has been featured several times as one of he most hanuted places in America. Cue protagonists.. Four horror authors (of various genre staples) are brought to the house on Halloween to self promote their current projects in a live syndicated web broadcast. Whether they are believers in the supernatural or naysayers,...

The Ghost Fleet: Ass-kicking Trucker of the apocalypse

Image
Image comics release of The Ghost Fleet: The Whole Goddamned Thing. Review copy provided by the publisher, well to read and review of course... Pages: 208 ISBN: 1534304401 ISBN-13: 9781534304406 The Ghost Fleet is a secret shipping system enacted by partnership with Andrew Jackson and Privateers. The Ghost Fleet transports sensitive material where ever and whenever it needs to go. They never know what cargo they carry and it is a violation to ever peek. After being Hijacked, Trace wakes from a crash to find his Hijackers with their flesh boiled off. He breaks the code and looks in the popped open wreckage of his Semi-Truck and sees the Cargo with his own eyes. He is no longer part of the Fleet, he is hunted by them. This is the trade paperback for   (I believe) a 6 part comic run. Stellar art work, great plot. Feels a lot like Big Trouble in Little China which makes sense as it dedicated to Kurt Russell. Great writing by Donny Cates, artwork by Daniel Warren...
